  • 1 cup coffee

lunch from maoz vegetarian lunch:

  • junion falafel on whole wheat pita w/pickled baby eggplant/olives/cucumbers/dill/tahini/garlic sauce/yogurt sauce
  • 1 cup green tea

dinner @ home

  • 3 pcs turkey bacon
  • 1.5 scrambled eggs w/habichuelas/cheese
  • 10 oz. magic hat no. 9

lunch @ momofuku noodle bar

  • momofuku ramen: w/pork combo/chives/fish cake/nori paper/mushrooms
  • 1 cup green tea

dinner @ home

  • 3 pcs turkey bacon
  • 2 organic gluten free dippers
  • 2 scrambled eggs w/habichuelas/onions/shredded cheese
  • 24. oz magic hat no. 9
  • 2 little meringue cookies

I took a half-day from work and spent it with J* who is leaving New York indefinitely.

Here is what I ate:

Breakfast @ work cafeteria

- egg and cheese sandwich on white toast with butter
- coffee

Lunch @ Jean Georges

- amuse bouche (shot of cauliflower soup w hibiscus and cumin, smoked salmon wrapped around pear sitting in a cucumbar tartar sauce, flavor explosion in the form of a dehydrated tangerine with lime and cayenne)
- four plates shared with J*
young garlic soup with thyme and fried frog legs
gulf shrimp with pumpkin puree, basil
black cod with mushrooms and lemongrass consomme
soy glazed beef short ribs, apple-jalapeno puree and rosemary crumbs
- dessert shared with J*
chocolate Jean Georges chocolate cake, vanilla bean ice cream//warm chocolate gnocchi, gianduja, grapefruit, basil
- accompaniments
marshmallows (vanilla, raspberry, banana), macaroons (white, red, brown), chocolates (dark ganache, cinnamon, milk chocolate ganache, coconut)
- beverage
ginger-lemon soda

(Note: so full after this…)

Dinner @ Clinton Street Baking Co.

- hot buttered cider (OMG – delish!)
- fried green tomatoes with jalapeno sour cream
- turkey chili
- biscuits and butter
- farmhouse grits with truffle oil

  • 1/2 cup coffee w/milk

lunch from hale and hearty

  • crab and tomato soup
  • 1/2 grilled chicken/goat cheese/sundried tomato/roamaine lettuce wrap
  • 1 cup green tea

dinner from whole foods

  • mini cheese ravioli w/tomato sauce/bleu cheese
  • quinoa salad
  • cucumber/onion/tomato/pepper salad
  • artichoke hearts
  • beets
  • sweet plaintains

drinks for laura’s birthday @ dusk

  • 1 margarita w/pear infused tequila
  • 1 bushmill’s
  • 1 can boddington’s
  • 1 dirty kettle martini
